History of The House of Williams

History of The House of Williams

Emmanuel Williams arrived in England in 1942 and started trading diamonds in the London Bourse, after having traded in Antwerp, Belgium for many years. He became very successful and was thrilled when his son joined him in the family business.

His son, Theodor Williams, started as a diamond polisher, polishing industrial diamonds for the war effort during World War 2. After the war he progressed to become one of the biggest jewellery manufacturers in the UK in the 1960’s and 70’s.

Now his grandson, Jonathan Williams is the Managing Director of The House of Williams. He has been in the jewellery business since 1979, when started out as a jeweller specialising in diamonds. From 1980 onwards he became one of the largest wedding and diamond ring manufacturers in the trade, selling to top high street jewellers. From 2010, he stopped supplying the trade and offered his expertise and beautiful collection direct to the public through national wedding shows, his websites and from his showroom at 48B Hendon Lane, London N3 1TT.

The House of Williams is a proud London-based, third-generation family business of diamond dealers and jewellers. We would love to share our years of experience and love of diamonds with you, bringing you the most beautiful pieces at the best prices.
